Rwandan women weaving a traditional basket

Summary edit

Description
English: Basket weaving is an old craft in Rwanda that is mostly practiced by women. During the basket weaving practice, it's also the time for these women to bond and discuss social and economic issues and the ways to solve them. It's a lucrative practice where many women's cooperatives around the country earn a living. A Rwandan traditional basket is used in weddings during gift offerings and it's also used as an ornament where it's mostly found in the sitting rooms of most Rwandan homes.
