Am 27. September 1583 wurde die greise Frau Elisabeth Pleinacher nach mehrfacher Folterung (Delikt: Buhlschaft mit dem Teufel und Schadzauber) verurteilt und auf dem Richtplatz auf der Gänsweid als erste und einzige Wienerin wegen Hexerei auf dem Scheiterhaufen öffentlich verbrannt.
