English: BHS Store, Bridge Road, Kirkstall. Looking across Bridge Road towards the BHS store. This was bought by BHS within the past 2 years, after the Allders group went into liquidation. Allders had used it as a department store for several years, and before that it was known as Clover in the 1980's and 1990's. In the 1950's it was the headquarters of Thrift Stores Ltd, when it had a tall central clock tower, as can be seen in the photo on the Leodis website here http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?id=8125 |
