Photograph of early British BL 9.2 inch gun, believed to be Mk IV, on improvised high-angle mounting. Appears to be a rail-mounted proof sleigh. This gun and mounting was used to fire the Jubilee Shot to celebrate HM Queen Victoria's golden jubilee in 1887. The round fired travelled 21,203 yards. |
