Русский: 23 августа 1997 года патриарх Алексий II посетил город Переславль и побывал в Никольском монастыре. Патриарх посетил Благовещенскую церковь и обратился к прихожанам. Он сказал: «Крест — хранитель Вселенной, крест — демонов язва, верных утверждение и церкви ограждение. И у каждого из нас есть свой жизненный крест, который мы должны с терпением и помощью божественного крестоносца донести, исполняя каждый то послушание, на которое поставил нас Господь».
