Description

On rare occasions, Eklutna Lake freezes over with skatable ice. On this January day in 2018 we skated to the far end of the lake and back--a distance of about 14 miles total. Because of a recent freeze-thaw-freeze, the ice was very smooth aside from a few bumpy patches.
