Deutsch: Die Heilig Kreuz Kirche wurde am 9. Oktober 1966 eingeweiht. Sie wurde damals gebaut, weil das Fridolinsmünster für die wachsende Bevölkerung nicht mehr ausreichte.
Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg hat sich Bevölkerungszahl durch den Zuzug Heimatvertriebener nahezu verdoppelt und das Münster St. Fridolin allein war der schnell wachsenden Bevölkerungszahl nicht mehr gewachsen. Darum gründete 1956 Pfarrer Gustav Bahnholzer, damals auch Initiator der Wohnbaugenossenschaft Neue Heimat, den Heilig-Kreuz-Kirchenbauverein Säckingen-West. Von 1963 bis 1966 ist die Kirche Heilig Kreuz in der Weststadt von Bad Säckingen gebaut worden. Am 27. März 1966 wurde das fertiggestellte Gotteshaus benediziert, hat also den kirchlichen Segen erhalten. Die fünf Glocken, die in Heidelberg gegossen worden sind, sind ebenfalls 1966 von Generalvikar Ernst Föhr geweiht worden. Am 9. Oktober 1966 vollzog Erzbischof Hermann Schäufele die feierliche Konsekration von Heilig-Kreuz. Die Pläne für den Kirchenbau und die Gestaltung des Altarbezirks stammen von Regierungsbaudirektor Erwin Heine vom Staatlichen Hochbauamt in Freiburg. Der Architekt errichtete in der Erzdiözese Freiburg zusammen mit Rudolf Feßler, der in Bad Säckingen die Bauleitung innehatte, unter anderem auch das Kurhaus in Badenweiler. Bildhauer Leonhard Eder schuf 1966 für Heilig Kreuz das Bronze-Kruzifix und die Bronzereliefs des Kreuzweges. Auf Kurt Frank gehen die Aluminiumfester-Wände, die Portale und die Gestaltung der Taufkapelle zurück. Die Ausführung der Glasbeton-Fenster der Taufkapelle übernahm Hans Günter Schmidt, der mit Kurt Frank bereits in der katholischen Kirche Guter Hirte in Friedrichshafen zusammengearbeitet hatte. |
