Description
English: Monument created in 1987 by the architect Vicente Sánchez and the sculptor Antonio Rivas, Paseo de las Palmeras, Bailén.

The large bas-relief reproduces the famous canvas La Rendición de Bailén, by J. C. del Alisal (<►File:La Rendición de Bailén (Casado del Alisal).jpg), now preserved in the Prado Museum, Madrid.

The principal architects of the resounding Victory of Bailén (19 July 1808) over the napoléonic invader were General Francisco J. Castaños ►(File:Francisco Javier Castaños.JPG) and General Theodor von Reding ►(File:Teodoro Reding.JPG).
