Sergeant RM7784 David (k/a Snowy) BALDWIN. 45 Commando Royal Marines. Born 1928 to John William and Alice Maud Baldwin, nee Birch Died during operations in Cyprus. He, and Marine. David Whitham, were killed on Sunday 13 July 1958 aged 30 in the Karpas Peninsular Cyprus when their patrol landed by helicopter and came under ‘friendly fire’. Died on date and country stated. His effects went to his widowed mother. Marine RM16034 Raymond Thomas GREENING. 45 Commando Royal Marines. Born 1939 in Epping Forest to Thomas Burn and Alice Elizabeth Mary Greening, nee Monk Killed in action in an ambush near Sarandi, Cyprus, Monday 6 October 1958 aged 18. Marine RM14427 Kenneth LAMB. 45 Commando, Royal Marines. Born 1937 at Dawdon County Durham to William and Sarah Lamb, nee Daglish Died during operations in Cyprus. He was accidentally shot and killed on anti-terrorist operations in the Troodos Mountains during the Cyprus emergency on Saturday 10 March 1956 aged 18. They were reinforcing a Greek Police Station in Agros at the time. At rest in Waynes Keep Military Cemetery, Nicosia Cyprus. David Baldwin, were killed in the Karpas Peninsular when their patrol landed by helicopter and came under ‘friendly fire’ on Sunday 13 July 1958 aged 19.
