Description
English: Reflections of an old mill in the Ballardvale District. A dam on the Shawsheen River created the pond in the foreground of this mill, dating to 1848, used to generate power. The railroad tracks nearby were essential to the success of the mills and are still used for the MBTA and freight trains.
