In May 1907 Robert Welch took this same photograph with the Church of St John, Ballyvaghan, in the distance; his showed a very dense stand of shrubby cinquefoil (Potentilla fruticosa) stretching it seems to the church. It's all gone, replaced by pasture and hazel scrub. |
