Magyar: Balogh Pál (Győr, 1854. augusztus 14. – Budapest, 1933. augusztus 25.) publicista, demográfus. Báró reventlowi Kaas Ivor (Lontó, 1842. január 24. – Budapest, 1910. december 2.) publicista, politikus.
„A lap két vezércikkíróját közös prédikálószékre rajzolta Jankó János. A luteránus tógában Kaas Ivor báró hirdeti az igét. Húsz év óta Magyarországnak ő a legnépszerűbb publicistája; erőteljes cikkeivel a magyar közéletet folyvást ébren tartja, tolla hatalom, termékenysége s munkaereje bámulatos; minden nap ír egy, sőt két cikket is számos esztendők óta, ha kiadná munkáit, egész könyvtár telnék ki belőle. A szerkesztőségben a déli órákban jelen meg rendesen «napi parancsért», mint ő szokta mondani. A főszerkesztő vagy helyettese által föladott témát aztán megtárgyalja az egész szerkesztőséggel, meghallgatja mindenkinek nézetét, gyakran hévvel vitatkozik is, úgy kezd este felé íráshoz. A katolikus papnak öltöztetett alak Balogh Pál, ez az új nemzedékhez tartozik; (bp.) jegyű vezércikkei alig három év előtt tűntek fel a közönség előtt s nyitották meg számára a publicistái pályát.” Magyar hírlapirodalom.
