Description Postcard depiction of the Strata Dome cars used on the Balitmore and Ohio railroad's train "The Columbian". These were at one time the only dome coach cars on the rails in the eastern US.
Date Not mailed or otherwise dated. The dome cars went into service with the train in 1949. This is also a linen-type postcard, which was popular from the 1930s to early 1950s. This is likely circa late 1940s to early 1950s.
