Description
Español: Vista de una sección de los jardines del Centro Cívico (Centro Cultural La Térmica), en Málaga, España. En esta sección de los jardines se sitúan dos esculturas conocidas como Niño de la oca y Niño del balaustre, en piedra y cemento, obras anónimas de hacia 1870-1880. En primer término, el Niño del balaustre, entre sentado y arrodillado sobre un basamento rocoso, un putto desnudo que se asa a un balaustre de corte clásico. Al fondo, el Niño de la oca, figura de un rollizo niño desnudo cabalgando una oca. Ambas figuras se encuentran deterioradas por su exposición a la intemperie en los jardines del Centro Cívico. A la figura del Niño de la oca le faltan los pies y una mano, las puntas de las alas de la oca y el pico. El Niño del balaustre ha perdido el remate de la columna. En otra sección de los jardines del Centro Cívico hay una réplica del 'Niño de la oca', también muy deteriorada. En los jardines de La Cónsula, en Churriana, se conserva una réplica del Niño de la oca mejor conservada (Sánchez López, J. A. 'Paseos por la escultura pública de Málaga'.
