Description
English: The forest is located in the Mala region of Ranpur. The people of Ranpur used bamboo sticks as common weapons in their day to day home protection. On the ave of independence the people of Ranpur assassinated the political agent Major Bazalagatte in a serious mob by using as lathis (bamboo sticks). The bamboo sticks collected from the spot by the then police department of Ranpur is now preserved in the British museum for demonstration.
