Summary
editDescriptionBank Dole Lock, Aire and Calder Navigation - geograph.org.uk - 827669.jpg |
English: Bank Dole Lock, Aire and Calder Navigation. This lock, which links the River Aire with a short cut to the Knottingley and Goole Canal, is one of the most difficult and hazardous locks on the Inland Waterways system. The lock keeper is not always on duty, but here he watches anxiously as two lady boaters draw the paddles of the bottom gate. |
