English: One of a pair in the collection of the Polish Army Museum, another one preserved in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw (inv. No 47034). Belong to a set of banners used by the King's bodyguard. Decoration: Coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with the Vasa crest framed by the Golden Fleece chain, abbreviations in the form of letters and figures: V IV RPMDLRPMSLSCSGVHR (Vladislaus IV Rex Poloniae, Magnus Dux Lithuaniae...). |
