Description
English: Banner of arms of Jamaica since the 17th century:

Argent on a Cross Gules five pine-apples slipped Or

Meaning: a red cross on a white (silver) field on which stand five golden pineapples with their leaves. The design was first made in 1661 by William Sancroft (later archbishop of Canterbury) and depicted on Charles II's official seal for Jamaica made in 1662. The same arms were formally granted by the College of Arms in 1957.
