English: Sweet chestnut grove) (Castanea sativa) Gschnoan in Barbian South Tyrol - Protected natural monument
Deutsch: Kastanienhain (Castanea sativa) Gschnoan in Barbian in Südtirol - Im Kastanienhain in den Gschnoanwiesen stehen insgesamt neun Kastanienbäume, von denen vier einen Stammumfang von ca. 5 m aufweisen. Weiters befindet sich in dieser Baumgruppe auch noch ein schöner Nussbaum. Die Kastaniengruppe stellt ein markantes Element im Landschaftsbild dar. Sie steht völlig frei und an exponierter Stelle inmitten eines Wiesenareals und befindet sich entlang eines Wanderweges, noch dazu in nächster Nähe zum Hauptdorf.
Italiano: Castagneto Gschnoan a Barbiano - Il castagneto dei prati Gschnoan presenta un totale di nove castagni, di cui quattro con una circonferenza del tronco di circa 5 m. Inoltre, tra le piante di questo gruppo troviamo anche un bel noce. Il gruppo di castagni rappresenta inoltre un elemento che conferisce una particolare impronta al paesaggio. Essi si ergono isolati in un punto esposto in mezzo ai prati e sono fiancheggiati da un sentiero, trovandosi oltretutto nelle immediate vicinanze della località principale..
