Summary edit

Description

Jonathan Deeds, Ph.D., an FDA fish toxicologist, removes a fish from a super-cold freezer. After thawing it, he will conduct a series of tests to identify the species, then create a bar code. The bar code is downloaded into an FDA database that other scientists in and out of the agency can use to identify another other fish of that species. The aim: to protect consumers and prevent fraud.
