English: Barn and Pond at Holcombe dairy There is very little in this square except the dairy on the slopes above Alton Pancras. It is possible that this pond is one of the sources of the River Piddle which most authorities say rises next to Alton Pancras. This dairy farm was rented in 1900 by William Cornick for £520 a year when there were 52 cows on it. |
