Description
English: The square cippi were found inside burial chambers and carried an egg-shaped top, possibly as a symbol of life and fertility. The scenes depicted in bas-relief are connected with cult of the dead and burial, as are here the dances in honour of the deceased. Sk 1224
Deutsch: Die quadratischen Cippi wurden in Grabkammern gefunden und trugen eine eiförmige Spitze, möglicherweise als Symbol für Leben und Fruchtbarkeit. Die im Flachrelief dargestellten Szenen sind mit Totenkult und Bestattung verbunden, ebenso wie hier die Tänze zu Ehren der Verstorbenen. Sk 1224
