The morning walking tour of Beaune. At first it was dry, but it started to rain a bit as we went around the town. Basilique Notre-Dame de Beaune - after our visit here it stopped raining and the sun came out! A look around inside the basilica. Basilica of Our Lady of Beaune The Basilica Notre-Dame de Beaune is a canonical ensemble dating from the second half of the 12th century located in Beaune in the Côte-d'Or . The Notre-Dame de Beaune Collegiate Basilica is one of the last great Romanesque churches in Burgundy . Its construction was undertaken in the middle of the 12th century on the Cluny model and was completed at the beginning of the following century with a remarkable stylistic unity. The Basilica is classified as a Historical Monument by inscription on the list of historical monuments of 1840 . The conventual building ( presbytery ), for its part, is the subject of an inscription in respect of historic monuments since the 26 May 1926.
