Description
English: Basingstoke Canal near Frimley Green The Basingstoke Canal was built between 1788 and 1794 and connected Basingstoke with the River Wey Navigation. It is 32 miles long with 29 locks. After many years of restoration it's now fully navigable. This broad sweep is immediately south of the Guildford Road bridge.
