Chorrillos Batle, Batalla de Chorrillos. Raúl Olmedo D. dijo...: "Martiniano Urriola no era militar, sino oficial (coronel) de la Guardia Nacional. No obstante, el desarrollo de los sucesos de la GDP le permitieron tener, en noviembre de 1979, el mando de las tropas acantonadas en Dolores hasta poco antes de la batalla de ese nombre. Asimismo, sus condiciones notables de mando le significaron el mando de la II Brigada de la III División (Lagos) en la Campaña de Lima. Luego de Chorrillos, parte de esa brigada (puntualmente el "Bulnes", policía de Santiago movilizada en la emergencia bélica) fué destinada a misión sepulturera, y la foto que aquí se publica corresponde al día 14.01.81., en tanto comprobaba la muerte de sirvientes de una posición de artillería peruana. Le acompaña en esa imagen, también montado, (aunque queda de ella fuera por el plano cerrado que se publica) el general Marcos Maturana, Jefe del Estado Mayor del Ejército Expedicionario en esa campaña. El hijo de Urriola, Pedro Urriola, fué el capitán cuyo cadáver, después de la acción de Tarapacá (27.11.79), mereció la publicación del informe de autopsia que hace constar su depase y múltiples heridas post mortem.
