Description
English: Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone in St Michael's parish churchyard, Cumnor, Oxfordshire (formerly Berkshire) for Guardsman Basil Bateman, 1st Bn, Coldstream Guards, who died aged 19 on 22 January 1946. At the foot of the stone, behind the display of imitation flowers, a verse is inscribed:

One of the bravest
One of the best
God grant him now
