English: A Great Western Railway service heading up to London (power cars 43127 and 43164) switches to the down line at Westmoreland Road in Bath as the up platform is closed this week to be rebuilt and realigned. Half the trains for London are being diverted through Bristol Parkway but that still leaves at least six trains each hour to get through the single track section between here at Bathampton, a plan that fell apart a few hours after this picture was taken when these points failed. |
