Description Battle flag of the 6th Kentucky Infantry, Kentucky Historical Society. Nota: The battle flag of the 6th Kentucky Infantry was captured during the battle of Jonesboro on 1 September 1864 by the 10th Michigan Infantry; the 2nd Kentucky, who were also overrun, tore their colors to pieces; The flag was returned to Kentucky on 25 March 1905, and it is now in the collections of the Kentucky Military History Museum in Frankfort.
