Description
English: Detail from the 1904 Seattle Sanborn map, showing the Bay View Brewery complex. Since the 1893 Sanborn map the brick buildings have been expanded and added to the north and have had floors added, including a third floor to the original 1888 building. The bottling plant was razed prior to 1936 and is now the site of a parking lot and Groove City Grind. The portion of Elliott Bay here has already been filled in, using soil sluiced from Beacon Hill south of the brewery. The Grant street bridge is now 9th Avenue South, a surface street.
