Summary edit

Description Curious about that black bear we announced a couple weeks ago? So are we, and another clue has just come in from the field. A wildlife camera in Zuma/Trancas Canyons was checked this week and one picked up a bear. The photo was from June 2, nearly a month and a half before it walked in front of our cameras in Malibu Creek State Park. If this is the same bear (and we have no reason not to think that), it's certainly traversing the fragmented habitat of the mountains safely and relatively undetected! We eagerly await more clues.
