Description
English: A cross-vane (2-7% slope) has a vane on each side which covers 1/3 of the bankfull width and the invert portion covers the middle 1/3. They are commonly used for grade-control and to reduce nearbank stress by redirecting flow through the center of the channel. It can also considered a habitat improvement structure. Credit: USFWS.
