Description

Carlyle-bodied Freight Rover Sherpa, new in January 1987 to Manchester Minibuses Ltd, better known as The Bee Line Buzz Company.

They were very common in South and East Manchester and had two depots, one in Wythenshawe (where the Arriva depot is today) and the other in Stockport.

A couple of months or so after Deregulation in 1986, Bee Line buses became very common and were very popular amongst passengers despite them having very limited capacity as they served streets previously not served by buses due to them being too narrow or inaccessable.

The Freight Rovers new to The Bee Line Buzz Company carried Birmingham registrations due to Carlyle being based in the Midlands.
