English: Bees' stand, Spring Gardening Show, Malvern 2009 One of the many indoor stands for associated societies.
Beekeeping has been in the news recently due to unexplained Colony Collapse Disorder threatening the polination of worldwide food crops. Hundreds of concerned visitors enquired into how to take up bee keeping. A cut away of a hive was very popular as was the display of live bees - safely enclosed behind glass. Displays of the equipment used by beekeepers was on display along with flowers loved by bees. Honey and beeswax was on sale. At least one stallholder almost lost his voice by after eight hours. |
