DescriptionBelieved Kapalkundala Mandir - Dariapur - East Midnapore 2016-06-18 4438-4449.tif |
English: It is believed by the local people that this vacant mandir (heavily renovated) was the Kapalkundala mandir as described at the Kapalkundala (Bengali: কপালকুণ্ডলা), - a Bengali romance novel published on 1866 by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. Now, there is no such evidence where the mandir was for the Kapalkundala deity but it is true that Chattopadhyay served as a Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector here at village Dariapur, East Midnapore district, West Bengal, India.
