Description
English: Bell UH-1 Iroquois (colloquially "Huey") utility and light transport helicopter displayed at the Museum of Aviation in Košice, Slovakia. Designed by Bell Helicopter in the 1950s, it was manufactured by between 1956 and 1987, and was part of the inventory of many countries' air forces and civilian aviation organizations (including rescue and medevac services. There were many military and civilian variants, including license-built versions by foreign aviation manufacturers. The preserved specimen shown here is a former United States Army UH-1M.
Slovenčina: Úžitkový a ľahký dopravný vrtuľník Bell UH-1 Iroquois ("Irokéz", hovorovo "Huey"), vystavený v Múzeu letectva v Košiciach, Slovensko. Navrhnutý americkou spoločnosťou Bell Helicopter v 50. rokoch 20. storočia, bol vyrábaný v rokoch 1956-1987, a bol súčasťou vzdušných síl a civilných leteckých organizácií (vrátane záchranných a zdravotníckych služieb) mnohých štátov. Jestvovalo množstvo civilných a vojenských variantov, vrátane licencovaných verzií vyrábaných zahraničnými leteckými výrobcami. Tu vystavený zachovaný exemplár je bývalý UH-1M Armády Spojených štátov amerických.
