English: Belvedere, Powderham. The belvedere is shown more clearly in 516690. "Ruinous. 1771-4 ... Flemish bond brick, rendered, with Portland stone dressings. Gothick, with refined detail ... triangular on plan with corner towers. Damaged by fire after the war and now a roofless shell, the original plan included a ballroom with ornamental plasterwork. The building was used as an estate cottage in the early C20." https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1306164 , which includes further architectural details. According to Cherry & Pevsner, it is "one of several modelled on the triangular tower at Shrub Hill, Windsor".
