English: Bench Mark on the triangulation pillar, Millstone Edge, Saddleworth This is made of (presumably from the verdigris) bronze. The height is 448.60m, and the benchmark, known as a flush bracket, has a reference number, S4402. All (but one) trig pillars have a flush bracket with a unique number. See http://www.haroldstreet.org.uk/trigpoints/trig-bagging.php?area=SE . The cement rendering on the pillar has mostly been weathered away. |
