High tide at the base of cherry trees at the Tidal Basin, Washington, DC

English: Normally these cherry trees are on dry land and there is a sidewalk between the trees and the water in the Tidal Basin. This high tide the water has inundated the sidewalk and comes right up tot he base of some of the trees. Behind them you can see partially submerged benches. |
