Description
English: Plaque number 3 at the "Denkzeichen Modezentrum Hausvogteiplatz" in Berlin. The inscription reads: "The National Socialists forced the Jewish owners and employees of Berlin's fashion industry into exile or they carried them off to the camps and murdered them." Starting in 1933, Jewish entrepreneurs were forced out of fashion industry with increasing violence"}. Their companies were 'aryanized' or shut down. This led to the annihilation of the tradition and the economic significance of what used to be Berlin's second largest branch of industry."
