Description
Deutsch: Mausoleum ("Erbbegräbnis") der Familie von Oppenfeld auf dem Dreifaltigkeitsfriedhof II an der Bergmannstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Die jüdischen Brüder Moses und Daniel Oppenheim hatten sich 1824 christlich taufen lassen, um als von Oppenfelds in Adelsstand erhoben zu werden. Das Mausoleum wurde 1828 in einem ägyptisierenden Stil erbaut und gilt als eines der architektonisch bedeutendsten Mausoleen auf Berliner Friedhöfen.
English: Mausoleum ("Erbbegräbnis") of the von Oppenfeld family on the Dreifaltigkeitsfriedhof II cemetery at Bergmannstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The Jewish brothers Moses and Daniel Oppenheim were christened in 1824 to be ennobled and adopted the new name von Oppenfeld. The mausoleum was built in 1828 in a seemingly Egyptian style and is consideredone of the most notable mausoleums on a cemetery in Berlin.
