Description
Deutsch: Schankgebäude, so genannte Sixtus-Villa, auf dem ehemaligen Gelände der Abteilung II der Schultheiss-Brauerei, jetzt Viktoria-Quartier, an der Methfesselstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Die Brauereigebäude auf dem Gelände wurden in zwei Baustufen von 1857-59 und 1862-73 für die Brauerei Tivoli erbaut und 1891 von Schultheiss übernommen. Das Schankgebäude im Stil einer mittelalterlichen Burg wurde 1901 nach Plänen von Karl Teichen erbaut. Die erhaltenen historischen Brauereigebäude und das Schankgebäude sind als Gesamtanlage denkmalgeschützt.
English: Drinking house, so-called Sixtus Villa, on the former compound of the Department II of the Schultheiss brewery, now Viktoria-Quartier, at Methfesselstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The brewery buildings on the compound were built in two stages from 1857 to 1859 and from 1862 to 1873 for the Tivoli brewery; they were taken over by Schultheiss in 1891. The drinking house in the style of a medieval castle was built in 1891 by Karl Teichen. The preserved historic brewery buildings and the drinking house constitute a complex that has been designated as a cultural heritage monument.
