Summary edit

Description
English: Victoria, goddess of Victory, by Ch. D. Rauch, crowns the 'Friedenssäule' (Peace column) erected in 1843 in the center of the place called 'Belle-Alliance-Platz' at that time.

The place, initially known as 'Rondell', was renamed 'Belle-Alliance-Platz' on 22 October 1815, i.e. soon after the 'Schlacht bei Belle-Alliance' (Battle of Waterloo) fought on 18 June 1815. Now Mehring-Platz.
