Description
Deutsch: Die ehemalige Jüdische Mädchenschule in der Auguststraße 11-13 in Berlin-Mitte. Das Gebäude wurde 1927-1928 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Alexander Beer errichtet; der Ziegelsteinbau weist Einflüsse des architektonischen Expressionismus und der Neuen Sachlichkeit aus. Wie das benachbarte ehemalige Jüdische Krankenhaus steht der Komplex heute leer. Er ist als Baudenkmal gelistet.
English: The former Jewish Girls School at Auguststraße No. 11-13 in Berlin-Mitte. The building was constructed from 1927 to 1928 to a design by Alexander Beer. The architecture of the brick building shows influences of Expressionism and Neue Sachlichkeit. Like the neighboring complex of the former Jewish Hospital, the building stands empty. It has been designated as a historic landmark.
