Description
Deutsch: Das ehemalige Hotel Windsor in der Behrenstraße 64-65 in Berlin-Mitte, heute Sitz der Schule bei der Botschaft der Russischen Föderation. Das Gebäude gegenüber der Mündung der Mauerstraße in die Behrenstraße wurde um 1840 als Wohnhaus errichtet und ab 1871 als Hotel genutzt. Die rund 90 Zimmer gehörten zur einfachen Kategorie. Das heutige Aussehen des Gebäudes geht auf einen Umbau im Jahr 1950 zurück. Als Teil des Bauensembles Unter den Linden ist das Haus denkmalgeschützt.
English: The former Windsor Hotel at Behrenstraße 64-65 in Berlin-Mitte, now serving as the location of a school associated with the Embassy of the Russian Federation. Constructed around 1840 as a residence, it was converted into a hotel in 1871, containing approximately 90 basic rooms. The building was reconstructed in 1950.
