Description
Deutsch: Früheres Bankgebäude Französische Straße 32 in Berlin-Mitte. Es entstand 1832 als Wohnhaus und wurde 1921-1922 durch den Architekten Otto Ortel für die Berliner Handelsgesellschaft J. Dreyfuß & Co. umgebaut. Von 1945 bis 1991 diente das Gebäude als Hauptsitz des Aufbau-Verlages. Es ist als Baudenkmal gelistet.
English: Former bank building at Französische Straße No. 32 in Berlin-Mitte. It was constructed in 1832 as a residential building. From 1921 to 1922 the architect Otto Ortel altered it for the Berliner Handelsgesellschaft J. Dreyfuß & Co. From 1945 to 1991, the building served as seat of the Aufbau publishing house. It has been dedicated as a historic landmark.
