Summary
English: Residential and commercial building at Französische Straße No. 15 in Berlin-Mitte. It was built in 1881 for the merchant Oskar Dennewitz and altered in 1926 by architects Richard Bielenberg and Josef for the Rhine-Westphalian Land Credit Bank. This explains the two-part facade, showing round archs on the first and second floor and late classicist ornaments on the top stories. The stucco coffers and murals in the entrance hall were restored during renovation from 1992 to 1993. The building is now seat of the Berlin branch of the Latvian Parex Bank. It has been designated a historic landmark. |
