Summary edit

Description
English: Commercial building at Friedrichstraße 166 in Berlin-Mitte, constructed 1899-1900 by the architects Ferdinand Wendelstadt and Max Welsch. Together with its neighbors on the left and on the right (House Automat and the Pschorr Beer Hall), it forms the best preserved ensemble of historic commercial buildings on Friedrichstraße. The most noticable architectural feature is the decor of the red sandstone facade in the style of Venetian palaces. The building is landmarked.
