Description
Deutsch: Mietshaus Luisenstraße 57 in Berlin-Mitte. Das Haus wurde 1840 erbaut. Von 1879 bis 1897 nutzte es das Kaiserliche Gesundheitsamt. Eine Gedenktafel erinnert daran, dass Robert Koch 1882 hier den Tuberkelbazillus entdeckt. Heute wird das Gebäude von verschiedenen Einrichtungen der Charité genutzt. Das Haus ist als Baudenkmal gelistet.
English: Residential building at Luisenstraße No. 57 in Berlin-Mitte. The house was built in 1840. From 1879 to 1897 it was used by the Imperial Health Office. A memorial plaque informs readers that Robert Koch discovered the Tuberculosis bacillus here. The building is now used by several institutions of the Charité university medical school. The house has been designated as a historic landmark.
