Description
Deutsch: Geschäftshaus in der Oberwasserstraße 13 in Berlin-Mitte, errichtet 1911-1912 von der Union-Baugesellschaft. Der südliche Trakt der ursprünglich dreiflügeligen Anlage wurde im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört. Das Gebäude soll zum Ausbildungszentrum des Auswärtigen Amtes umfunktioniert und durch einen Verbindungsbau des Schweizer Architekten Rolf Mühlethaler an das Ministerium angeschlossen werden. Das Gebäude steht unter Denkmalschutz.
English: Commercial building at Oberwasserstraße 13 in Berlin-Mitte, constructed 1911-1912 by the Union building company. This used to be a building with three wings, but the southern section was destroyed in WWII. The building is scheduled to be converted into the training center of the German Foreign Office. A new structure by Swiss architect Rolf Mühlethaler will connect the building with the ministry. The building has been designated a historic landmark.
