| Description |
Small dip between the two passes. Maybe not that small. Rainy Pass at slightly over 4,000 feet is divide between drainage for Puget Sound and Columbia River. The Pacific Crest. Then there's a dip and it's up over Washington Pass at over 5,000 feet. Divides Lake Chelan and Methow River drainage. As I joined Highway 20 at Sedro Wooleey, I was in Skagit County. Near Newhalem, I went back into Whatcom County, then Skagit again till Rainy Pass. Then Chelan County, between the two passes. After Washington Pass it's Okanogan County. |
